HOW TO GET YOUR JOB TO US |

There are a number of options, depending upon whether you have 'artwork' for it already. Artwork can be in the form of a master copy which has already been created and printed or may only exist electronically as a file or files created on a computer. If your artwork is in the form of a hard copy to be copied or scanned for editing purposes, it will normally need to be brought in to the shop. We would advise against sending valuable originals by post in case of loss or damage and the expense involved but we appreciate this may be problematic in some instances. For artwork created electronically, i.e. created on your PC or Mac computer in software packages such as Word, Powerpoint, Publisher, Photoshop, etc., you can drop it in to us or post it on a CD, DVD, USB memory stick or media card. Our preferred format is PDF for the most reliable and predictable results. It is also possible to send as an email attachment. We prefer email messages with attachments to not exceed 5 megabytes (you can check this by adding up the file sizes listed in the 'Attachments' pane of the message window) as this can cause the system to crash. Where possible, compress several files into archives (.zip files) to reduce the overall size but when the size is prohibitively large, we have found the best method is to upload it to a holding website. The easiest way to do this is to sign up for a free account with 'Yousendit' at www.yousendit.com. Then simply follow their instructions and you will be able to transfer files up to 100 megabytes in size. You can even download apps for iPhone and Blackberry for this. Alternatively, our studio can create artwork for you for a very reasonable charge. Please call in to discuss your requirements, or if you prefer, email, telephone or fax with all the details.
